The Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong is a charity organisation established in 1936 in Hong Kong and serves mainly children and youths. Currently, it has over 50,000 members and staff of 1,000 professionals, including 400 registered social workers.
Recently the BGCA Hong Kong came to us to try and supplement some of their health and fitness programs. The Interactive TWall, an exergaming product, can be a valuable addition to Boys and Girls Clubs for several reasons:
- Physical Activity Promotion: Exergaming encourages physical activity in an engaging and interactive way. The TWall requires participants to react quickly by touching or hitting specific lights or targets, promoting agility, hand-eye coordination, and overall physical fitness.
- Variety of Games: The TWall offers a variety of games and challenges that can cater to different age groups and skill levels. This versatility allows clubs to tailor activities to the preferences and abilities of their members, keeping them motivated and engaged.
- Team Building and Social Interaction: Many TWall games can be played in pairs or teams, fostering teamwork, cooperation, and social interaction among club members. These activities can also help develop communication skills and sportsmanship.
By incorporating the Interactive TWall into their programming, Boys and Girls Clubs can create a dynamic and engaging environment that promotes physical activity, teamwork, social interaction, and personal development among their members.
