The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows is all about creating a place where every kid feels safe and connected: a place to belong and a place to become. This is that place for over 13,000 youth in 30+ locations across Reno, Sparks, Fernley, Ely, and Winnemucca.
The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows was founded in 1976. The first Club occupied a facility just south of the intersection of Terminal Way and East Plumb Lane in Reno.
Back in 2020 Exergame installed our first interactive fitness and gaming space for the Donald W. Reynolds Youth & Teen Facility.
While we have plenty to share in the future on our success at the DWR Boys & Girls Club, we wanted to highlight our recent installation at the William N. Pennington Youth & Teen Facility! This is just a small clip of the impact on fitness gaming in the Boys & Girls Clubs of America!
The Boys and Girls Club of America provides countless health and wellness programs for their members. Exergaming is a comprehensive health and wellness program. It works hard to improve the overall health of Club members ages 6-18 by increasing daily physical activity, teaching them that technology can promote exercise and helping them develop special relationships with their fellow members.
Exergame is so proud to be a part of a place that helps kids and teens achieve great futures by providing a safe and fun space, an engaging Club experience, and caring professionals to guide them along the way.
An interesting part of the Club is their Youth X Exergame Room. The Youth X Room engages kids and teens through their virtual world to get them moving.
