We are always looking to expand our reach to customers other than health clubs and fitness centers. Our equipment has a special ability to get kids active and to keep them engaged. So when we come across schools, childcare centers, and similar facilities we try very hard to deliver our interactive fitness products to the kids who can use it. Most recently we have installed some equipment at a very special childcare center called an ‘intervention center’. Playful Beginnings specializes in helping young children with issues relating to the Autism spectrum.

“Playful Beginnings, Inc. is an early intervention program. Intervention is provided to children who experience developmental delays and/or have behavioral needs associated with Autistic Disorder/Autism Spectrum Disorder. One-to-one intervention matched to the child’s developmental, behavioral, and sensory needs is provided.The primary intervention used to promote back and forth social interaction and language development is Pivotal Response Training (PRT). PRT involves the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in a naturalistic setting in order to bring the child’s developmental trajectory closer to that which would be expected for his/her age.”
This is something we are very passionate about, helping out kids is at the root of our business and equipment. We have always tried to keep this specific use/application in mind when looking at new equipment and programming. Not only is the concept of Exergaming excellent for adults but it is exceedingly more engaging for children who may be special needs, shy, or simply not as active as others. It pushes the kids to have fun and break through their social barriers together, all without processing that they are ‘exercising’
