The Fergus Falls Area Family YMCA has served their community for over 40 years. Today this 90,000 sq. ft. has over 4,000 members and serves thousands of people on an annual basis. Over 100 staff members and numerous volunteers work daily to fulfill the mission of the YMCA by putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
One of the recent goals within the Fergus Falls YMCA was to upgrade the game room they currently have to make it more of an interactive learning center. Here the YMCA can promote a sense of belonging, achievement, and a relationship for every child. This was done in conjunction with the Kiwanis “Challenge Project” to raise funds for the room. Exergame products in this room include items like the EyePlay interactive floor system, the pedal to play Exerbikes, and the interactive fitness trainer; the tWall 32.
Nicole Washek of the YMCA says “It has been a GREAT week. Kids are loving the new equipment and its fun to see the kids sweat because of it.”
