Motion Fitness Brings Exergaming to PE4Life Conference

The 2011 PE4Life Resource Conference was held in Overland Park, Kansas on October10-11.  School and Community representatives from 22 states attended this two-day event that featured Robyn Bretzing from Timpanogos High School from the alpine School District in Utah as the Keynote Speaker.  Robyn challenged the audience to take their daily practice to the next level – from good to great – and her infectious enthusiasm had event attendees on their feet dancing and moving throughout the day.  PE4Life hosted over 230 PE professionals and school representatives, providing 35 breakout and activity sessions that included presentations from Jean Blaydes of Action Based Learning, Aaron Hart of SPARK, and Dr. Curt Hinson, renowned physical education consultant, as well as an Equipment Symposium that featured 25 equipment and programming vendors.

On behalf of Motion Fitness, we would like to say thank you to PE4Life for including us in the participation of the 2011 PE4life Resource Conference. We have received nothing but rave reviews from this event, and we know that it is in part due to a conference that is focused entirely on providing ways to keep our youth healthy.  A big part of the event is the Equipment Symposium, the Breakout sessions, and/or Activitysessions that vendors can provide to showcase new up and coming ideas/products to inspire a new generation of Physical Education professionals.
The attendees of the Resource Conference were given the opportunity to vote for an MVP, most valuable Product/Company and the results are in…

MVP: ActionBased Learning www.abllab.com

2nd Place: Motion Fitness www.motionfitness.com

3rd Place: Nasco www.enasco.com & the Gymstick www.gymstick.com

WOW, what a great honor!  Motion Fitness is excited that we received the 2nd Place Award for Most Valuable Product/Company. Here we debuted the MOVband, this is a new method for schools to do fundraising for their PE Program and encourages students to be active while doing it! The iDANCE Move was also debuted and received great feedback as a way to incorporate an inexpensive group-based DDR program into schools.  The always eye-catching Makoto II was also a big hit!

We again would like to thank PE4Life for allowing Motion Fitness to be a part of this important and exciting event.  This truly is an exciting time for us and we look forward to continuing our collaborative efforts with PE4Life in the future.
