One of the recent additions (along with 2 other rooms) was the Exergame room provided by a grant through the K21 Health Foundation. This fitness gaming room is customized to fit the new model of social interaction, movement, and engagement. It comes fully equipped with interactive fitness devices that are not only gamified, but have proven fitness methodology behind them.
Products like the iStep DDR, tWall 32, Exerbike GS, 3 Kick, and Heavyball make this a unique fitness space for all ages. With the iStep DDR you have a multiplayer dance game that delivers physical, cognitive, and social benefits. Biking never gets boring with the Exerbike GS. Ideal for kids and teenagers, this is the perfect item to help them get used to the gym. Works with the Xbox system, play while you ride! The tWall 32 is a great machine to help people who want to get into shape focus on different areas of their body that they want to perfect. Whether training for power, agility, endurance, flexibility, or reaction. With the 3 Kick you can punch and kick for a seriously fun workout, and the Heavyball teaches concepts of lower body exercise with interactive fitness integration!
We congratulate the Baker Youth Club, and thank the K21 Health Foundation for their generous grant. With our interactive fitness gaming pieces we will be sure to keep the kids of Indiana up and exercising!
