City of Johnson City located in the heartland of Tennessee recently decided to add to their Memorial Park Community Center. The $15 million, 67,000-square-foot recreation center will have hundreds if not thousands of people dancing, swimming, playing billiards, tennis and a long list of other activities for the body and mind. The center is equipped with a 75-foot-long lap pool, splash pool and teaching pool.
Recently the Park District has purchased things like the tWall. The tWall is a universal training tool provides a fantastic cardio workout across numerous applications, including Exergaming, sports, fitness and rehabilitation.
For their kids section they also add the interactive projection system, the EyePlay. The EyePlay Exergame Surface will turn any floor space into a multi-point interactive experience. This interactive surface, which can be as large as 18 feet wide, creates a fun, exciting, and engaging experience by tracking users shadows with highly accurate motion sensing technology.
But most recently they decided on adding to their adult fitness program by implementing the fitness gaming product the Heavyball. The object of this fun, interactive game is to put the medicine ball into the hole with the light on and retrieve it from the archway below. Then, quickly move it to the next hole with the light on. It is a great training tool for lateral movement and squatting.
We applaud the City of Johnson City on their continued path of adding interactive fitness to their Park District. If you or your Park District would like to leanr more, contact Exergame Fitness!
