Boys & Girls Club of the Muskegon Lakeshore (BGCML) was founded in 2014 by a group of community members dedicated to addressing the need for high-quality out-of-school time programming in Muskegon County.
From those original 30 members in 2015, membership has soared to over 1400 youth. BGCML is now serving 460 kids a day in the summer, and an average of 132 a day during the school year.
As part of their Healthy Lifestyles these programs develop young people’s ability to engage in positive behaviors to nurture their well-being, set personal goals and grow into self-sufficient adults.
Exergame is proud to be a part of this program by bringing functional fitness training, with a splash of Exergaming. Functional training is a type of exercise that looks like movements you make in your daily life. It can be helpful for athletic performance, injury prevention, and other everyday fitness tasks.
