The Champaign Park District and the Martens Center offers a variety of programs for children that cater to different interests and age groups. The Champaign Park District offers a variety of programs for children aged 5 to 12 years. These programs provide a fun and safe environment for children to participate in activities like arts and crafts, games, sports, and field trips.
Some other programs offered at Champaign include:
- Creative Playtime – This is a program for children aged 6 months to 6 years and their caregivers. It provides a fun and safe environment for children to play, explore and interact with others.
- Youth Sports – The Champaign Park District offers a variety of youth sports programs throughout the year, including basketball, soccer, flag football, and more. These programs focus on developing fundamental skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
- and now, Exergaming! From the second floor, look down for a bird’s-eye view of the interactive games room, that is a new favorite for school-age kids and teens (and adults!) alike. Check out the interactive touch wall the tWall, a Dance Dance Revolution-type game but more multiplayer called iDANCE, and of course the ever popular iWall fitness gaming device. (and so many others!)
Exergame has been working on this project for over 5 years, and is so happy to see it come to fruition for the Champaign Park District and the Martens Center.
