Palatine, Ill (May. 21, 2014) – The Corsicana YMCA located in Corsicana, Texas will have their Exergame grand opening Friday, May 30, 2014. Kids will get the chance to experience the ultimate interactive fitness equipment.
After attending the YMCA General Assembly last year and visiting our booth to see the state-of-the-art exergaming equipment, Terry Seth, the Executive Director of the YMCA liked what he saw. The two things that stood out to him were that the equipment was visually attractive and unique as it could maintain that 7-14 year old demographic that he was missing out on.
Fast Forward. Next week Corsicana is set to install the equipment and at the end of the week, school kids will be invited to attend the grand opening event and experience Exergames.
Corsicana will be the only YMCA in Texas that will have exergaming equipment in their community. They are taking positive steps towards fighting childhood obesity by providing kids the chance to exercise with the games they love. Being active and healthy all while having fun – now that’s how you start the summer off right.
