The next generation of the YMCA is upon us! This 140,000 square foot state-of-the-art new facility, located at the corner of Clover Street and Jefferson Road, is a nationally recognized collaborative model that will achieve the YMCA mission. One of the greatest misconceptions about the YMCA is that the Y is just a building with a pool and a gym. The reality is that the YMCA is a powerful agent of change focused on strengthening our community. The new Schottland Family Branch is expanding Y services to meet the needs of more individuals, families, children, and seniors.
As part of this expansion there is not only a concentration on the Youth Fitness category, but also the Adult Fitness concept. One of the growing trends in fitness is the use of functional training, enter the Reaxing line.
With the Reax Station Compact, the sport or game moves as quickly as the player. Thus accommodating players from children to adults and beginners to the advanced. All units come with a proprietary computerized score keeper and timer that is controlled by the owner.
The Reax Fluikettle is the first kettlebell to enable working with a variable load. The unpredictability of water turns any exercise into a truly high-intensive neuromuscular training activity.
With Reax Fluiball exploits the patented technology of “Sudden Dynamic Impulse.” For the first time, it is possible to generate tactile stimulations as well as motor interference during a training activity with an exergame. These impulses enhance the movement, forcing the athlete to a much higher muscular activation.
Reaxing and Exergame Fitness are SO PROUD to be a part of this groundbreaking new YMCA. We look forward to our continued work with them, and the rest of the YMCA’s of Greater Rochester!
